Equine Assisted Learning

The Equine Assisted Learning program, the newest one for the FTRA, is an inclusive life skills and leadership program. This program offers participants a unique way to develop their personal growth, communication and leadership skills through ground work with our therapy horses. The ground work includes, but is not limited to, grooming and pattern work.

This program is run in 5-week sessions that include one 1 hour lesson per week. The program is still in the development stage and isn't currently being delivered on a regular basis.

Due to the nature of the program, there are some specific criteria in place for participants:

  • Minimum age of 8 years.

  • Participants must be physically able to walk independently for long periods of time.

If you would like to join this program, please email us at ftrariders@gmail.com
